Isn't the Deutschlandticket subsidy going directly or indirectly towards infrastructure?

Well, no. The Deutschlandticket means the train companies have less income because the Deutschlandticket eliminates a certain amount of ticket revenue. That loss is compensated with subsidies that could have otherwise been given ON TOP of the ticket revenue.

And who is responsible for maintaining the train tracks? Not the train companies?

Kind of. I believe the subsidy just covers lost revenue due to people buying fewer normal tickets.

Are you gonna change your name now? 25percent?

With all the Einbürgerungen going on that number could easily fall. Or if the war in Ukraine ends.

We'll have to change names every two month

You are raising valid points. I hereby retract my comment.

Maybe you can spin it differently. 20 percent of news to get 80 coverage of your needs. Pareto principle news.

Brands don't have to make sense after a certain point. I mean, what the hell does "Apple" have to do with computers and phones?

Speaking of infrastructure investment as you do indirectly through a link, what is up with the sudden burst of incredibly intrusive roadwork that actually gets finished quickly. It's so un Berlin I'm wondering whether it's related to national security or something, or is that over dramatic? Multiple sites around Prenzlauerberg and Mitte.

Interesting observation. Hadn't noticed the "finished quickly" aspect. Will keep an eye out for that.

I have the 2024 Berlin ticket and to my understanding and I believe also in the letter I got, our 29euro rate is only offered until the end of our 1 year contract (whenever you signed up in 2024). So I think until the end of 2025 is incorrect. :/

BVG charged me 58 euro for the Berlin-abo-turned-D-ticket yesterday. Do you mean I can dispute that and get 29 euro back?

Maybe it depends on when your bought the original 29 euro ticket. The price was supposed be guaranteed for 1 year from the purchase date. If that's not the case, definitely complain. Or just complain anyway.

They should have contacted you. I got a letter from them stating they will charge 58 euros but reimburse back 29 euros monthly until the end of the 1 year agreed contract. So keep an eye on your konto
