It‘s not the first time our government sets criminals free. Men who gang raped a woman in Görli some time ago were also released.

Apparently, raping and shooting isn‘t an offence important enough for the current ruling elite.

I looked up the story and the alleged victim refused to testify, while the defense argued it was consensual and had a video that supposedly proved it. So, not the open-and-shut case you're making it out to be.

I'm no fan of the "ruling elite", but I have no idea why you think they have something to do with this.

She left Berlin and never wanted to come back here again, which is, imho, understandable after enduring such an experience.

Gang rape. Consensual. Sure.

The dude in the recent news might have asked the mfer to shoot him in the thigh too.

You've made up your mind on what happened, for some reason, even though you have no more information than anyone else.

I would hope you become more familiar with our judicial system, which has a high bar for proving allegations.

The case isn't that simple. It may have started with consensual sex but it clearly turned into something bad quick. The victims didn't got to the police -- a neighbor called police after hearing her cries for help. The Berlin press has been unfairly questioning the couple's motives.

This Görli shooting has my head spinning. (A) How can anyone be that brave when faced with an attacker, let alone one with a GUN! Both the target and the person that detained them. Wow! (B) And the gunman was released?? What?? What's the story there?

I tried to search for news on this to get more context and a possible explanation for why they were released. Not much came up. Anybody find anything?

The basics is that they aren't a threat to the greater public. I contacted the Berlin Police and will update on Friday.

Thanks for following up on this. People who mug others at 8am in a park and then fire a gun at the victim when they try to run… aren’t a threat to the great public?? The bullet could have just as easily entered the back of the victim’s head as graze their leg. 😳😳😳

Regarding Telsa I suspect it has less to do with the environment and more to do with who owns it, aka Musk

Yes and no. Clearly he's an easy target but southern Brandenburg has been very open about their water fears and a huge car factory is clearly a risk. Germans also love trees and regularly go out of their way to protect forests -- the irony is that the logistics center is probably better for the environment (delivering new cars by rail rather than road) but the protestors like their forest.

Complaining about the way the Xberg/NK Police deal with criminals here is like complaining to HR about your boss.

? the suspects' release has nothing to do with the police, but rather the judiciary
