It surprises me how russian businesses in the middle of the biggest war in Europe penetrate European markets. Vivid Money is backed by russian Tinkoff Bank and founded by two russians. By using Vivid you're quite literally allow dirty russian money to work.
Sorry, knowing some facts about russia as a state, and seeing that the C-level is all from large Russian corporations that usually have very close ties to the state, I cannot seriously believe that having "only 10%" of Tinkoff's money and closing the Moscow office makes their money less dirty and more "legitimate".
I hate to admit it, but nowadays I feel like the self-checkout at my local Rewe is better than most of the ones I've used in the US. It's surprisingly fast, and it doesn't immediately yell at you to "please place your item in the bagging area" after every freaking item scanned (*cough* Kroger *cough*)
I personally don't like the self-checkouts. On a trip to New Zealand last year, there are not only the checkers but also packers, chit chat and a smile 😊

Many States have these weird scanner things at clubs and liquor stores that are supposed to validate the ID but they never seem to work -- one bar I was at scanned by German drivers license several times and then acted like it worked the third time even when it clearly didn't (I don't look young). I haven't bought a gun in 30 years so I don't know there.

Ah, Tinkoff only has less than 10% and Vivide closed their Moscow office. Most of the money is now from "legitimate" sources.
